Book with this teacher
I started playing music in high school 15 years ago.
I enjoy playing drums because of the energy that can be transmitted and received. I strive for precision, control the dynamics of the piece, and lead the ensemble. While a guitarist's mistake often goes unnoticed, a drummer's error can halt the entire group. I have performed, recorded, and worked in studios, and I would like to share my experience with fellow musicians.
The teacher answers five FASOUL questions about their path, inspiration and view of music.
When we were running away from lessons for music, when in childhood drums and guitar felt like pots and tennis rackets.
There were difficulties, but my parents always supported and encouraged me.
It all started with my music-loving godfather, who had a huge collection, shared it, and talked about many artists and genres. I realized that every genre has something close to you and you don't have to be a hard-core metal fan or a proud Lithuanian pop enthusiast. Currently I enjoy listening to jazz, funk, and soul.
There are many songs to record. I would like to deepen my music theory knowledge. I try to learn something new at every rehearsal.
I wish for more self-confidence, more genuine listening to music, attending live performances, and playing yourself. It truly brings joy.
