About the teacher

Experience

Vytenė began private piano lessons at four, then joined a choir and learned flute. She studied at the Balys Dvarionas ten-year music school, later explored improvisation and jazz vocals privately, and earned a degree in music production from Vytautas Magnus University. She writes, records and performs music, develops her songwriting practice and has taught children aged five to fourteen.

In their own words

She tries to approach life with optimism and meet difficult moments with compassion for herself and others. Vytenė believes that every day offers something to learn from the people around us and that each moment has its own value.

Five stories about music

The teacher answers five FASOUL questions about their path, inspiration and view of music.

01

How and when did you realise that music was your path?

According to her mother, she hummed and repeated melodies as soon as she became aware of her surroundings. Singing and playing were part of her life from the beginning.

02

Did the people close to you support your choice?

Her parents encouraged her through piano and choir lessons. Later, she felt pressure to choose instruments that did not feel right, but excellent teachers helped her rediscover her love of music and return to what she truly enjoyed.

03

Which musical genres do you prefer?

She feels closest to singer-songwriter music, soul and pop.

04

How do you imagine your future in music?

She wants to continue developing as a singer and songwriter. She also dreams of creating a recording studio for children and for adults wishing to reconnect with their inner child.

05

What would you tell someone who is still unsure about trying music?

If your heart keeps asking you to sing or play, it is worth listening. Music helps people hear themselves and one another, lightens everyday life and can accompany us through difficult periods.
