GUITAR LESSONS – JOKŪBAS GIEDRAITIS

Name: Jokūbas Giedraitis

  • Instruments: Guitar, vox
  • Experience: I started playing guitar around 10 years ago, and I am also a vocalist. I am currently studying musical theater and am in my third year of studies.
  • Describe yourself: I am open to new things and challenges. I am motivated and have realized that I want to share my knowledge with others. I have been living in the world of music for more than 15 years, and I am happy to offer this accumulated experience to those who want to learn new and interesting things. Currently, I am studying Musical Theater, and I also play and sing in two bands.

1. Tell us how and when did you realized that you’re inclined to music?

I’ve been involved with music since I was a child. I started attending music school even before regular school. For me, it was an absolute escape from everything else. Over time, I realized, even in elementary school, that music would be a significant part of my life. To this day, I am still in this field and I’m happy to be able to express myself through music.

2. Did your parents supported your choice, or have you had difficulties moving towards your dream?

Actually, not at all. It was my grandmother who enrolled me in music school, and I am incredibly grateful to her because she set me on this path. My parents only encouraged me, so I didn’t really face any difficulties.

3. What genre of music do you prefer?

I represent the genre of sung poetry, and I also play ska music. My listening preferences vary from calm music to rock and metal.

4. How do you see your future related to music? Do you want to learn something new, maybe you have new ideas?

Honestly, I wouldn’t be myself without the stage, so I plan to stay in that world for a long time. As for learning, every new challenge is a great learning experience, so I actively seek that in order to grow.

5. What would you advise a person who would like to test himself in the music sphere, but has not yet decided. How should I encourage yourself to try and help unfold your desire?

Someone once said, “Where there is a will, there is a way,” and I live by this phrase. So if there is even a small thought about it, grab an instrument and head to the studio. 🙂
